vestrynen.<br />

1726 John and Benjamin <strong>Grayson</strong> were assigned to make the tax list and John<br />

and Ambrose <strong>Grayson</strong> planted on John's plantation,<br />

Capt. Lightfoot and Thomas Chew viewed lands.<br />

1728 John and A~brose with John Robinson Esq. as warden were vestrymen.<br />

<strong>The</strong>y were also vestrymen in 1729 & 1730.<br />

John also vestryman 1731 & 1735. John and Ambrose 1731-32. Others were<br />

Robert Beverly, John Taliaf erro, John Waller, Francis and John Taliaferro,<br />

Willia~ri Rsbinson, Francis Thornton, Kosley Battaley, Richard Tutt , John<br />

Thornton, Jaces I.arye, John and IIenry Waller.<br />

No <strong>Grayson</strong>s !:ere vestr en in 1745, but were in 1737 and 1740 Arbrose wzs<br />

vestryman in 1743 and g. Also Littlcberrys there.<br />

(John must have been the father of Ambrose, Benjamin, and John Jr.)<br />
