The Computer has placed each requested surname spelling variation
separately in alphabetical sequence by first name. For example:

NOTICE that there is no spacing
between spelling variations.
TWO TYPES of entries are contained in your Computer Search:
1. Entries from CENSUS RECORDS, as shown in tho example:

These entries all have a census year in the far right hand column.
Sometimes the year is prefixed with letters. For example: 51803
These are codes for the following:
$=STATE CENSUS
T-TERRITORIAL CENSUS
CL-COLON 1 AL CENSUS
CTcCONTINENTAL CENSUS
To understand an entr from a census record, match the census year
with those shorn in rKe TmLE or coanuTs. rum to pago number
indicated for an explanation of the entry.
t. Entries from BIOGRAPHICAL and other sources. For example:
BAKER, GEORGE F. LANCASTER CO. PA 681 BfOCAn
The far right hand column shows a lqBIO1l or "POW prefixed code.
This means that we have indexed a Biography or a Portrait on
this individual. We can not provide copies of tkis information
at this time.However, we will be publishing in the future an
index which will help you locate such information. Hatch for
