From Virginia, it is not known
where Joseph Gravson first I
married, nor to whom he was
first marrid. However liis first
marriage(s) produced at
least five children: Joseph, Jr.,
,q Benjamin, Willi~m, Isaac, and
Susannah. Khen Joseph's sons
became of age he sold them
various parts oi nis estate: Joseph,
Jr., 153 acres; Benjamin,
178 acres; William, $2 acres;
and Isaac, 153 acres. Those
tracts were primarily from Joseph
Sr.'s purchases of 1796,
1799 and 1802.
