Dear Mr. Grayson:
Refering to your recent letter I am enclosing $3.00 for your expenses
and I feel, quitc sure I have told you all about the Grayson family I know
and also my niece Mrs. Kitty Jean, Magnolia, Arkansas has been working on
the Grayson genealogy for several years and should be able to give you
more information than I can but at any rate Ill1 tell you the following.
My great grandfatherls name was Johnny Grayson and he moved his family
to Quachita County, Arkansas and lived there until he died and is buried nuw
in Nevada County, Arkansas. He moved from Hamilton County, Tennessee to
Quachih County, Arkansas and during part of the time he lived in Hamilton
County, Tennessee he was a deputy sheriff. I'm pretty sure he moved fron
Hamilton County, Tennessee before the Civil. War.
My grandfather Zackery Taylor Grayson was one of his children and he
lived in Arkansas until his death on a large farm and he raised 10 children.

My father being Thomas Samuel Grayson and all the children are dead now
except Mrs. Pearl Caldwell and she lives at Stephens, Arkansas and is rather
to old to write a letter.
There are a group of Graysons, one was named David that lived at Huntsville,
Alabama but I never was able to make any blood relationship with them and one
of the sons of this family was a judge, Claude Grayson at Mobile, Alabama,
one of the sons of the family ran an ice cream parlor in Birmhgham, Alabama but
he passed away several years ago.
I feel condifent we are related to the Grayson family that was reared
in Huntsville, but I never could. make connections.
