inventory of his cst:~+ve shcning tta autograph of John Gordon as an
appraiser, whom I assm-e to have been my ances tar, John I. I have
found Graysons in Cumberland, Yorks hire and Lancashire, but cannot
identify John I or his brolhcrs or aistcrs, if any.

of Spotsylvania Co. and I inherited and convoyed his father's land as
his eldest son.
It Looks to me that you are descended from one of tle sons of
John Grsyson I1 of Ebntgomery Co., Va. (3. 1e02) through ,John, Jr. or
one of his sons, or the sons of IL'illiam (sen of Joim, Sr.) who diod
1801, rulmed in his will, as Billy, Eeuben, John and hbl-ose Grnyson.
I have never tried to trace any except ny orm direct line of
descent, and that has been quite an extensive undcrtzkln,y an3 so IinoW
