In response to a Soden post card; Richard<strong>Grayson</strong>, MOD. of Selma,<br />
Ala, writes that he was born 1902, that his father was Claude C,<br />
<strong>Grayson</strong> born 1857 Auburn, Ala., and that his father was Spcnce<br />
Monroe <strong>Grayson</strong> born 1812 at Alexandria, Vao, the son of Revo Spcnca<br />
Monroe. <strong>Grayson</strong> of Be1 Aim near Alexandria.<br />

On page 99 is an article onr Ambrose <strong>Grayson</strong> of Texas from a Hendcrsom<br />
newspaper of 1901 scnt bp,Mrs, Petty, Also are reprints of <strong>Grayson</strong>s<br />
from who's who of 1938 and of 1944 sent; by Eoward <strong>Grayson</strong>, <strong>The</strong>se are<br />
Interesting artioles. Also from 1934 Who's who and a supplement are other<br />
articles on that page. On page 101 are 2 biographies sent by<br />
Howard <strong>Grayson</strong>, linking the SoCi.oongressman to the Va. senaton, This<br />
appears to be a mistake in the record. <strong>The</strong> congressman was of a diffcr-<br />
ent lineage entirely.<br />

listed as pages~89 and 90,.<strong>The</strong>re are a total of 27 pages In thismanuscript,<br />
so today's 4 pages makes a total of 6 printed serially,<br />
plus the page 21 which appeared out of order i.21 last issue.<br />

Pages 107.8.9 are War of 1812 Pension and Roster records- from the<br />
National Archives sent from Howard <strong>Grayson</strong>, Many thanks, Howard: these<br />
should prove valuableo I notice myiancesto~ Wren,his br.othcr Jesse, and<br />
his cousin Benjamin on the list. This will be convenient for <strong>Grayson</strong><br />
researchers, Howard, I know of no Charles W. <strong>Grayson</strong> born about 1839.<br />
Does anyone else Howard thinks the <strong>Grayson</strong> Stadium in Savannah, Ga.<br />
was named for a Lt. Cove named Spencer <strong>Grayson</strong>, Howard,for the record,<br />
finds <strong>Grayson</strong> streets in: le.San Ant onio Zo.Austin, Tcx, 3oWoodridge, Va.,<br />
and 4, Portsmouth, Va, Lbelieve we listed tho San Antonio street<br />
alreadg, so the other 3 <strong>Grayson</strong> streets make the 15th. 16th. & 17th<br />
<strong>Grayson</strong> place names.<br />
