Can you give me any information of George ~iashington <strong>Grayson</strong>, born 18031<br />

(my information says in 1FC3 in <strong>Grayson</strong> Co. but I find <strong>Grayson</strong> Co. was not formed<br />

until 110). He was married three times, the last time to Kary owe) Stevens<br />

and had bairid !owe <strong>Grayson</strong>.<br />

Me Is said to have keen the son of Thomas <strong>Grayson</strong> of North Carolina. He no<br />

doubt telonged to a line of the <strong>Grayson</strong>s of Va. I find a George id. Srayson who<br />

had a son George A, in Tglerts aarterly (~a) and in Historical Collections<br />

of Va. Vol. IX. p 210 I find George Lc'. as a son of Col. 'vJm. <strong>Grayson</strong>, who left<br />

a son PJeorge w'. but no further data on the names. Cemee, the son of Col. #villiarn<br />

<strong>Grayson</strong> was ITcf Fauquder Co, and died tefore 1F32, leaving issue.It<br />

I also find in "Old Kentucb Xntries and Deeds by H.R. Jillson, pafe 494<br />

under ''Court of Appeals- Grantors - Geor~e w, <strong>Grayson</strong> res.- Kason, a large<br />

grant dated 2,18,1803 Eook N, 435. Also a Deed dated 8,2,lPO5 to 'Ih~rge<br />

b~'. Gra;fson and idife both on Uttle Sandy hiver and two others, one on same river<br />

and the other "6 m of Salt iJorksn. <strong>The</strong>se are in Book "Kit pages 259, 271, and 274.<br />

Tho nme of his wife is not given, nor do I. understand whpy the record is under<br />

'' OCourt of appeal^^^. Could it be that he George d. Crayaon uaa one of the "Hairs<br />

of dm. Grays~n" who laid claim to lands in Kentucky<br />

I have no record of when Gecrge Aashington <strong>Grayson</strong> died but be is said to have<br />

removed about 1660 to Jafferson Co. Kans.<br />
