From Virginia, it is not known where Joseph Gravson first I married, nor to whom he was first marrid. However liis first marriage(s) produced at least five children: Joseph, Jr., ,q Benjamin, Willi~m, Isaac, and Susannah. Khen Joseph's sons became of age he sold them various parts oi nis estate: Joseph, Jr., 153 acres; Benjamin, 178 acres; William, $2 acres; and Isaac, 153 acres. These deeds concerned a tract which Benjamin Grayson received from his father - inlaw's estate, -1 Joseph $, Crayson, son of Benjamin and Hannah Crayson, was born 13 January 1804, died 23 April 1884, anq married Jan. 23, 1827 Eliza R. Wilson, who was born 4 November 1404 and died 31 Decemher 1856. Joseph C. Grayson was a hptist clergyman, and he and his wife, are burie-l in the Harmony Grove Baptist cemetery in McDowell County, N.C. Joseph C. and Eliza R.
