was thou ht to have had a son named Ambrose and he is listed. His
(~mbrose f oldest son was named John, and it was this John Grayson
who married Barbara Burdyne. They in turn were the parents of .
John, Jr. who married Sarah Carter on 23 October 1792 in Montgomery
Co., Virginia. There was a John Grayson who lived in Spotsylvania
Co., Virginia as early as 1729 but there is no record as to who he
married, if he married at all. In fact there is no mention of him
at all. after the early 1730's. I have often wondered if ha wasn't
the same John Grayson who died 1735/6 intestate in Spotsylvania, .
Vis~inia. lie could have dropped the Jr. from his name by that time.
Thanks for the opportunity to make corrections and additions.
I have spent 18 years researching the Graysons and I am continually
amazed concerning how much I still dcnvt know.

born cu 1819 in Wilker Gounty, N.C. She married Harvey
Meadoss and they had two known children-William C and Sarah
