MARYLAND:

Thomas Edmondson, son of John Edmondson, Tred H.aven, Talbot Co. Md.,
was born ca. 1679 and died 1719, On June 7, 1699, he married Mary
Graysan(Grasum, Greason) in Talbot Co. Md. Mary was the widow of
Robert Grayson, presumably from Talbot to. also. I have searched
in vain for Robert's w i l l , but Mary Grayson Edmondson's w i l l was dated
May 11, 1742, and probated, Talbot Co. Md. on June 11, 1742 naming
Daniel Powell and Richard Ewbanks as Sureties. Mary's w i l l mentions
the following Graysons(Greasons) who were, presumably children or I
grandchildren of Robert Grayson, her first husband:
Elizabeth
Edrnund
I
Mary
Joshua
Mary had at least two daughters by her second husband, Thomas Edmondson:
Ann. who married John Tibbalds and had at least, one son 1
Sarah, who married Dennis Hopkins and had at least two children:
Francis and Elizabeth
Also, in my searching through Talbot Co. Maryland records, I found the
following:
Joshua Grason married Sarah Johnson 6/20/1730
Elira Greason married Thomas Carslake 2/3/1743
Sarah Greason married Ralph Alst,3n(Elston) 6/12/1739
Sarah Graysan married Michael Botfield July, 1746
George Grayson listed in 1790 census

TENNESSEE:
9/16/1809 Nancy Grayson married a John Edmundson at Knox Ca. Tenn.
Samuel Edmundson was Bondsman. This couple migrated to
Lawrence Lo. Indiana, (I have corresponded with one of theie descendents,
Burton L. Garten of Indianapolis, Ind., and have sent you
the information he has, but he does not know who either John's OX
Nancy's parents were.)
8/20/1016 Sarah(Sal1y)Grayson and John Edmondson were married by
Jonathan Ayres, J.P. at Know Co. Tenn. Bondsman John Edrnondson Sr.
2/3/1020 Jane brayson and Francis Edmondson were married by William
Morris, J.P. at Know Lo. Tenn. Bondsman John M. Havron
Now, supposedly, the latter John and Francis Edmondson were two of
eight children born to Samuel Edmondson(l761-1857)who migrated to
Tenn. in 1802 and bought 175 acres on 0e:her Creek, about 12 miles
northwest of Knoxville. Samuel's wife's name was, supposedly, Susannah
Kemp, but 1 have never found documentary proof of this. Samuel died
in Knox Co. Tenn.
