2013 2010 2010 Budget Budget Highlights:
Construction of a $1.25M beach main replacement
project on the east bank of the
Port Washington Narrows south of the Eastside
Treatment Plant
Design of the Washington Avenue Sewer
Replacement Project, and CE3 Upgrade
On-going minor capital upgrades to the collection
system, pump stations and treatment
plants
Replacement of the sanitary sewers on Pacific
Avenue between 6 th and 11 th during the
Street project
Manhole elimination project on the beach
sewer collection system on the west bank of
the Port Washington Narrows to address a
saltwater infiltration problem
Biofilter media replacement
Investigation of beach sewers on the west
bank of the Port Washington Narrows to
identify source of grit infiltrating the system
2013 2010 Capital Considerations:
$87,500 in PSE matching funds (Grant
Funds) are anticipated for energy efficiency
upgrades proposed for the WWTP.
2012 2009 2009 Accomplishments:
Completed Audit and OIG Investigations of
the ARRA funded Gorst Sewerage Project
Completed pump station CE1 Upgrade
which installed new sluice gates and modifications
to piping and valves in support of the
Crosstown Pipeline project
Completed construction of the upper reach
replacement of the Cross-town Pipeline with
minimal impact to traffic and the public
Pump upgrades at pump station KL1
Completed installation of a cleaning access
structure for the Tracyton Boulevard sewer
system.
Anticipated to complete design and submit
permit applications for a beach main replacement
project in the Port Washington Narrows.
