2013 Budget Highlights:
2013 Capital Considerations:
For 2013, the Street Department expects to:
Eliminate several low use pieces of
equipment, and vehicles
Modify work practices and establish
street maintenance priorities to best utilize
the limited staff and monetary resources
available
Focus on street maintenance tasks
Provide street paving as identified by
the Transportation Benefit District
As identified in the Capital Improvement
Plan; the Street budget includes
$450,000 for pavement preservation and
$25,000 in sidewalk improvements
throughout the City

2013 Goals:
Zero lost time accidents
Completed projects in all three divisions
to provide some additional revenue
Provided support for numerous City
events, which helped provide a wide
range of interesting and fun activities
for City residents and guests
By necessity, developed more creative
and cooperative methods to share manpower
and resources to accomplish
tasks
Zero lost time accidents
Maintain current levels of service
Improve street marking program, focusing
on application of thermoplastic material
at arterial intersections
Take better advantage of the Department’s
work management software,
Cartegraph, to manage assets and work
orders.
Accomplish all projects listed on the
2013 Transportation Benefit District
funding list
