DISPENSING Dispense Systems LOCTITE ® DIGITAL SYRINGE DISPENSING SYSTEM Item Number: 883976 The Loctite® Digital Syringe Dispenser is a semi-automatic dispensing system designed to dispense adhesives and fluids packaged in 3, 5, 10, 30, and 55 syringes and 300 ml cartridges. The unit has digital timing control with decimal settings to 0.001 seconds for increased precision over typical pressure-time systems. An adjustable pressure regulator controls a pulse of air, and when used in conjunctions with an air line adapter attached to an adhesive syringe barrel, will provide a controlled dispensed amount of adhesive. The system can be operated in the manual, incremental, or timed (automatic) dispense mode to dispense dots, beads or to fill syringes. Features: • Vacuum suck-back can effectively control product dripping or stringing • Manual, Incremental, and Timed modes allow a choice of adhesive dispensing methods • Convenient “teach mode” to set time required for desired dispense amount or volume • Cycle counter is clearly displayed in the LCD screen • The unit can be integrated into customer’s PLC programming to initiate a dispense cycle • Units can be stacked securely to save workspace Theory of Operation The system is a pressure-time-vacuum dispense system. It consists of an air regulator and pressure gauge to control pressure, and an electrical timing circuit to control the dispense cycle. When the dispense cycle is initiated, a pulse of air, either timed or manually controlled, is transmitted to the top of the syringe barrel via an air line adapter. The amount of product dispensed is controlled by the amount of pressure applied to the product, the length of the dispense cycle, the size of the dispense needle, product viscosity, and temperature. LOCTITE ® FOOT PEDAL DISPENSER Item Numbers: 98049 and 98050 The Loctite® Foot Pedal Dispenser is a manually controlled, pneumatic dispenser for use with 3, 5, 10, 30 and 55 syringes, and 300 ml cartridges. It is designed as a floor unit to eliminate the need for bench space. The unit is capable of dispensing dots, drops or beads of fluids ranging from medium viscosity liquids to high viscosity pastes. The dispense cycle is controlled by a manual foot pedal and an adjustable pressure regulator. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Item 98050 includes a suck-back feature to prevent dripping Air Input 60 to 100 psi when dispensing low viscosity fluids. Hg, to prevent dripping • Designed as floor unit to eliminate the need for bench space Theory of Operation When the foot pedal is actuated, a pulse of air is transmitted through an air line adapter (sold separately) to the top of the syringe barrel, pushing a controlled amount of material out of the dispense tip. The amount of product dispensed is controlled by the amount of air pressure applied to the product, the length of time the foot switch is depressed, the size of the dispense tip, the product viscosity, and the temperature. THREAD SEALANT & ANAEROBIC GASKETING DELIVERY SYSTEMS LOCTITE ® DIAL-A-SEAL ® APPLICATOR Item Number: 998400 The Loctite® Dial- A - Seal® Applicator is a touch actuated, all-pneumatic applicator for dispensing high viscosity Loctite® product onto threaded pipe fittings and nipples. The system has a quick turn turret that is equipped with cavities for 1 ⁄16, 1 ⁄8, 1 ⁄4, 3 ⁄8, 1 ⁄ 2, 3 ⁄4 and 1 inch male pipe threads. The unit accepts 50 ml or 250 ml tubes or 1 liter wide mouth bottles. The product dispense quantity can be adjusted with a rear adjustment knob. The upper limit per dispense cycle is 0.7 ml. It is recommended specifically for applying Loctite® PST® Thread Sealants, Loctite® Vibra-Seal®, and Loctite® Anti-Seize products. The operator presses a fitting down into the correct cavity. The downward motion of the turret depresses a switch that actuates the pump. A metered amount of material is dispensed on the part. DISPENSING Dispense Systems LOCTITE ® PUMP-A-BEAD II DISPENSER Item Number: 986000 The Loctite® Pump-A-Bead II is an all-pneumatic dispense system for pumping Loctite® anaerobic gasketing materials from 850 ml cartridges. A pneumatically-driven, reciprocating, positive displacement piston pump provides for consistent dispensing and ensures that air is not introduced into the product. This system is well suited for stationary or bead dispensing. The Loctite® Poppet Valve is also included and is ideal for dispensing continuous beads at high pressures. Features: • Air piloted control signal initiates dispensing • Air-driven, reciprocating, positive displacement piston pump • Poppet-type dispensing valve can be mounted onto a robotic arm • Anti-drip feature • Capable of dispensing 0.5 cc per second • Visual signal will indicate “Product Cartridge Empty” • Easily integrated into robotic dispensing stations Theory of Operation A full cartridge of material is loaded into the system and the unit is switched to operate mode. Upon demand for dispensing, i.e., pneumatic signal, material is fed from the cartridge to an oscillating pump where the pressure is elevated to greater than 650 psi. Material is forced through a high-pressure hose to the dispense valve where it is dispensed onto the part.
