The Loctite® S440 Series SCARA-N Robot provides maximum flexibility for complex dispensing applications. The robot features a
multi-jointed arm that moves above the work surface. The robot dispensing area is a kidney shaped area determined by the two
arm lengths. Eight different configurations, as shown in the chart, are available to meet your process requirements. Programming
accessories, dispensing equipment, cables and mounting hardware are sold separately.

Programming
Simple to program using either a multi-line backlit teach
pendant with user-friendly prompts or Windows® XP software.
The program allows for continuous path motion and
automatically interpolates any line or arc in all axes.
The manual provides step-by-step instructions for
programming the robot. No previous experience is required.
Programming Accessories
The operations box is required. The specially designed, easy-touse
Teach Pendant is the preferred device for programming and
operating the robot. A laptop computer loaded with the Teach
Point Software can also be used as an alternative.

Integration Accessories
Loctite® brand cables and junction boxes provide plug and
play integration solutions for a variety of Loctite® dispensing
systems. Single or multiple systems functionality can be
easily accommodated.
98395 – Interface Cable – SCARA Robots, 37 pin male D x multi.
Use with all Loctite® Robots single dispenser integration.
Integrates Loctite® Loctite® Precision Syringe Dispenser
(97006), Digital Syringe Dispenser (883976), Spray Controller
(98521), Integrated Semi-Auto Controllers (97007, 97010,
97017, 97020), Benchtop Peristaltic Dispenser (98548), and
Posi-Link Controller (98377).
98549 – Robot Interface Junction Box. Provides convenient
connection point between robots and up to 12 external
devices including all Loctite® dispensers, UV Wands, LED
cure systems, and 3rd party solenoids, grippers, etc. The
Junction Box accepts up to 7 inputs and 5 outputs, device
status indicator lights with a view window, and a 500
ma/24 VDC power supply for powering 3rd party devices.
Connection of the Junction Box to the SCARA Robot requires
one additional cable (sold separately)
