LOCTITE ® MICRO NEEDLE VALVE

The Loctite® Micro Needle Valve is a pneumatically-operated, needle and seat valve that is designed
for very small adhesive drops in a pressure-time dispensing system. It is precise down to 0.0005 ml,
and has an adjustable stroke control to pinpoint your exact dispense requirement. This valve features
the convenience to directly attach filled product syringes ranging in size from 5 to 30 ml for
dispensing. Only stainless steel cannula dispense needles should be used for proper dispensing
and the valve must be used in conjunction with a Loctite® brand controller, product reservoir
and dispense tip, sold separately.

Theory of Operation
Application of adhesive using the Loctite® Micro Needle Valve is
achieved in conjunction with a pressure-time controller and
adhesive reservoir system. The controller directs the pressurized
air to the actuator of the valve through the inlet air port for a predetermined
period of time. This causes the normally
closed, needle rod assembly to retract from the seat inside the
dispensing tip, allowing the adhesive to flow from the material
inlet to the dispensing tip. At the end of the cycle, the controller
releases the input air pressure, allowing the spring to return the
needle rod back to its original closed position.
