of seconds. Digital calipers ensure accurate and repeatable measurement to ensure that
you get a correctly sized o-ring every time.

LOCTITE ® PRECISION O-RING CUT AND SPLICE TOOL

The Loctite® Precision O-Ring Cut and Splice Tool is a patent
pending, industrial grade tool that provides precise measuring,
cutting and bonding of both standard and metric o-ring cord
stock. This tool offers a cost effective solution to creating
custom o-rings from 1.05" to 4" (26 mm to 100 mm) in
diameter. It incorporates a digital caliper for precise
measurement with every o-ring you make. The scale displays
either standard or metric dimensions. The cutting fixture is
designed to ensure clean, square cuts, while rugged holding
clamps provide seamless bonding of the cord stock.

Theory of Operation
O-ring cord stock is placed through the cutting blade assembly
and securely attached to the first holding clamp on the sliding
digital caliper assembly. The caliper is then extended from a
zero point away from the cutting face to the precise distance
that will equate to the o-ring diameter required. The cutting
blade is then manually engaged to cut the exact length of cord.
The loose end of cord stock is now attached to the 2nd holding
clamp that properly aligns both ends to each other. Loctite®
404 Quick Set Instant Adhesive (available as part of kits and
also sold separately) is applied and both ends are brought
together making a perfect o-ring bond in just a few seconds.
