DISPENSING Hand Held Valves Hand Held Valves Loctite® brand hand held dispensing valves are used where ergonomic design for hand dispensing of fluids is desired. Designed for use with Loctite® brand controllers and reservoirs, these hand held valves utilize passive wetted components for universal compatibility with many fluids. Selection of a Loctite® brand hand held valve is based on the desired dispensing controls, the dispense principal of the delivery system, and other process requirements. DISPENSING Hand Held Valves LOW VISCOSITY CYANOACRYLATE APPLICATOR LOCTITE ® LV HAND HELD APPLICATOR Item Number: 97130 The Loctite® LV Hand Held Applicator is a pneumatically operated, adjustable seat valve designed for accurate dispensing of low viscosity adhesives including cyanoacrylates. The valve body and stem are constructed of PTFE to prevent premature curing and together with the fine tuning stroke adjustment, this valve can deliver very small and repeatable drop sizes shot after shot. This valve must be used in conjunction with a Loctite® brand controller and product Type reservoir, sold separately. Viscosity Range Features: • Dispenses low viscosity cyanoacrylates, anaerobic, and other adhesives under 10,000 cP • Slim, ergonomic design greatly reduces hand fatigue • Forward closing to avoid air entrapment and potential premature curing of cyanoacrylates • Stroke adjustment for fine -tuning of dispense characteristics • Dispenses repeatable drop sizes down to 0.005 g • Easy repair/replacement of wetted components Theory of Operation When used in conjunction with a pressure-time controller and adhesive reservoir, the valve is opened by an internal, single - acting cylinder and piston rod. After initiating the control cycle, the piston is pulled, opening the PTFE flow channel, and allowing adhesive to pass. At the end of the controlled open time, pressure is released and the valve is closed via an internal spring mechanism, closing off the flow channel. The amount of dispensed adhesive is controlled by adjustment of air pressure, valve open time, size of dispensing needle, and piston stroke. NO FLOW FLOW The RED represents the fluid path.
