Increased deployment <strong>of</strong> technology in nursing <strong>and</strong> midwifery practice,<br />
Increased scope <strong>of</strong> practice <strong>and</strong> skills development across <strong>the</strong> workforce,<br />
Increased responsiveness to meet service dem<strong>and</strong>s,<br />
Improvements to service quality through planned <strong>and</strong> systemic interventions,<br />
Increased roles in multi-disciplinary teams in providing comprehensive health services<br />
to <strong>the</strong> community; <strong>and</strong><br />
Facilitating <strong>the</strong> requirements to <strong>the</strong> National Accreditation <strong>and</strong> Registration system.<br />
12.5 Without limiting <strong>the</strong> scope <strong>of</strong> this clause, productivity <strong>and</strong> efficiency will be enhanced with<br />
Employee commitment to implement <strong>the</strong> policies <strong>and</strong> initiatives <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Government <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
day.<br />
13. Dispute Settling Procedures<br />
General<br />
13.1 The parties aim to avoid <strong>and</strong> resolve industrial disputation about <strong>the</strong> application <strong>of</strong> this<br />
Agreement.<br />
13.2 Subject to sub clause 13.3, this clause sets out procedures to be followed for avoiding <strong>and</strong><br />
resolving disputes in relation to:<br />
(a)<br />
(b)<br />
a matter arising under this Agreement; or<br />
<strong>the</strong> National Employment St<strong>and</strong>ard<br />
13.3 (a) This clause does not apply in relation to disputes about:<br />
i. refusals for requests for flexible work arrangements on reasonable business grounds<br />
under section 65(5) <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> FW Act; or<br />
ii. refusals for requests for extended parental leave on reasonable business grounds<br />
under section 76(4) <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> FW Act.<br />
(b)<br />
An Employee who has a grievance about matters referred to in 13.3 (a) can utilise<br />
section 59 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> PSEM Act.<br />
13.4 In <strong>the</strong> event <strong>of</strong> a dispute arising in relation to a matter referred to in clause 13.2 <strong>the</strong><br />
following procedure will apply:<br />
(a)<br />
Subject to <strong>the</strong> FW Act a party to a dispute may appoint ano<strong>the</strong>r person, organisation or<br />
association to accompany or represent <strong>the</strong>m at any stage <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> dispute; <strong>and</strong><br />
