ii. <strong>the</strong> minimum extra payment will not apply to holiday ordinary duty which,<br />

disregarding meal periods, is continuous with ordinary duty occurring on <strong>the</strong><br />

day preceding or succeeding <strong>the</strong> holiday.<br />

9.7 Overtime worked on a <strong>public</strong> holiday will be paid at <strong>the</strong> rate <strong>of</strong> two <strong>and</strong> a half times <strong>the</strong><br />

Employee’s salary rate.<br />

9.8 In <strong>the</strong> case <strong>of</strong> a holiday overtime attendance not continuous with ordinary duty, payment<br />

will be subject to <strong>the</strong> minimum overtime payment provision at sub-clause 6.4 (Minimum<br />

payment).<br />

9.9 Unless authorised by <strong>the</strong> Commissioner, an Employee in a classification <strong>the</strong> minimum salary<br />

<strong>of</strong> which exceeds <strong>the</strong> maximum salary <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> classification <strong>of</strong> Administrative <strong>Office</strong>r 6 is not<br />

eligible to receive payment for duty o<strong>the</strong>r than rostered duty or for overtime worked on a<br />

<strong>public</strong> holiday.<br />

9.10 Where, in a cycle <strong>of</strong> shifts on a regular roster, an Employee is required to perform rostered<br />

duty on each <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> days <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> week, <strong>the</strong> Employee will, in respect <strong>of</strong> a holiday which falls<br />

on a day on which <strong>the</strong> Employee is rostered <strong>of</strong>f duty, be granted one day’s leave in lieu <strong>of</strong><br />

that holiday within one month after <strong>the</strong> holiday.<br />

9.11 Where it is not practicable to grant a day’s leave in accordance with paragraph 9.10, <strong>the</strong><br />

Employee will be paid instead one day’s pay at <strong>the</strong> ordinary rate.<br />
