Nineteen elements were present in the analyzed samples at widely differing<br />

concentrations, ranging from 10 4 to 10 -2 μg/g among the various planted areas. Therefore,<br />

classifying these elements revealed strong consistency among the concentrations <strong>of</strong> the trace<br />

elements which is interesting <strong>and</strong> is discussed below. Selenium is an essential element<br />

required in small amounts by humans for basics <strong>of</strong> life. It ranges from the highest 0.30±0.07<br />

to the lowest 0.15±0.05 μg/g. In another example, the maximum concentration <strong>of</strong> As was<br />

0.49±0.10 μg/g in Lalashan, whereas its concentration was negligible in both Minder <strong>and</strong><br />

Puli.<br />
