WORKSHEET #37: USABILITY ASSESSMENT
A data usability report will be prepared by AMEC incorporating the findings of the data
validation effort, evaluation of the data against the DQOs specified in this SAP, and other
supporting information. This assessment will evaluate data on a matrix-specific, analytespecific
and location-specific basis. The potential impact of any sampling discrepancies or
data qualifications (rejected, nondetected, estimated) on the removal actions will be
discussed with the remedial program manager (RPM) and QAO. Recommendations for
further actions will be provided, if necessary and appropriate.
Elements that will be addressed in the usability report include, but are not limited to:
• Compliance of sampling methods with the SAP
• Completeness of sampling effort
• Potential sampling error
• Compliance of analyses with SAP methods and QC requirements
• Completeness of laboratory analyses
• Potential analytical error
• Corrective actions and resolutions
• Validation findings
• Measurement performance criteria
• Remedial options
Completeness of sampling will be determined by the number of samples collected divided
by the number of samples to be collected as specified in the SAP, expressed as a
percentage. The requirement of completeness is 95% for sampling.
Completeness for laboratory analyses will be determined by the number of valid results
(results not qualified with a rejected (R) flag) divided by the number of possible individual
analyte results, expressed as a percentage. The requirement for analytical completeness is
95%.
