“Mr <strong>Humphries</strong>?”<br />
“Yes Katie?”<br />
“<strong>The</strong> Elite is waiting in the gymnasium sir.”<br />
“<strong>The</strong>n I suppose we should proceed.”<br />
Mr <strong>Humphries</strong> looked at his watch. He crossed<br />
the large office <strong>to</strong> a tall-boy <strong>and</strong> extracted a long, thin<br />
cane.<br />
During the weeks that he had spent with Ms<br />
Law<strong>to</strong>n the new Gr<strong>and</strong> Master had familiarized<br />
himself with the many traditions of the <strong>Back</strong> <strong>to</strong> School<br />
unit. Ms Law<strong>to</strong>n had based the units many rules,<br />
regulations, pro<strong>to</strong>cols <strong>and</strong> traditions on its former<br />
incarnation as a once respected girl’s fee-paying<br />
academy.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Elite was comprised of the twelve inmates<br />
serving the last year of their sentences. As the final<br />
phase of their social rehabilitation they were given<br />
responsibility for overseeing the facility at all times<br />
that the inmates were not otherwise engaged in
