Figure 51 - SH-2G block diagram Figure 51 shows the top-level block diagram of the SH-2G. Pilot stick commands are input to the system on the upper left section of the block diagram. They pass through the Control System block, which represents both the mechanical system and the flight augmentation system. The commands are then input to the aircraft plant, the responses of which are both output from the system and fed back through the FCS. The raw feedback information passes through a Sensors block, which simulates the sensors on the actual aircraft, and back to the Control System block. Thus is the basis of the simulation. 93
Figure 52 - Control System block The control system itself is displayed in Figure 52. This block demonstrates the nature of the partial authority system. Following the mechanical control system, the pilot inputs are first passed through the mechanical linkages of the Lower Link blocks. They then pass through the Boost Actuators and to the Upper Links block, where they are summed with the commands of the augmentation system. The augmentation system starts with the pilot and sensor inputs, which are passed to the Simplified ASE (Automatic Stabilization Equipment) block. This block contains the control laws of the augmentation system for each axis, shown in Figure 53. 94
