4 Future Work
Due to the uncompromising attitude taken in the early design conception with
respect to the inclusion of features, many features remain to be implemented.
Additionally, a project such as this one leaves many possibilities for future
improvements, as well.
4.1 Setup Mode
Only the basic functionality of Setup Mode was developed for the first version of
Batch Mode. Three additional windows remain to be developed, the Design Parameters
Window, the Spec Options Window, and the User Defined Window. Once these features
have been created, Setup Mode will be fully functional, enabling the users to vary every
parameter of a CONDUIT problem easily and quickly.
4.2 Run Mode
Run Mode is complete in its current state, however, one additional possibility is
being considered. Due to the potentially large number of cases in a Batch Problem, the
use of multiple processors to run cases simultaneously is being considered. By running
the cases in parallel, large time savings in run times may be accomplished.
4.3 Analysis Mode
Of all the sections that merit additional work, Analysis Mode is the largest. This
is simply because there are so many possibilities in the viewing of large amounts of data
in so many different forms.
