wanted to visit us in Valley City. I hoped that when he
got to be a teenager, he’d want to live with me, but

While the previous pastor left the area and
served another church, a former pastor from long ago
moved away and returned to Valley City with his
wife after retirement. He had dementia, was argumentative,
and criticized my baptismal policies.
