2.2.2 AVAILABLE MEASUREMENTS
Immediately after the accident samples of nasal swab and bronchial slime were
collected and 239 Pu+ 240 Pu activity of 5.5•10 -3 and 1.4•10 -3 Bq were measured, respectively. The
other measurements [123, 124, 126] are given in the following tables. The first available data
for direct measurements of 241 Am burden in lung are given in Table 2.2.1. In recent years
direct measurements of activity in lungs and other organs were carried contemporarily by two
different laboratories and the results are presented in Table 2.2.2. The data for the
measurements carried out on bioassays (urine and feces) are given in Table 2.2.3 and Table
2.2.4 for urine and feces, respectively.
