National laws <strong>and</strong>regulations or the competentauthority shall prescribe thatmachinery, equipment,including personal protectiveequipment, appliances <strong>and</strong>h<strong>and</strong> tools used inagriculture comply withnational or other recognisedsafety <strong>and</strong> health st<strong>and</strong>ards<strong>and</strong> be appropriatelyinstalled, maintained <strong>and</strong>safeguarded.2.
