When using the GEB121 battery, removethe spacer for the GEB111 from the batterycompartment.Charging / first-time use• The battery must be charged prior to using forthe first time because it is delivered with anenergy content as low as possible.• For new batteries or batteries that have beenstored for a long time (> three months), it iseffectual to make 3 - 5 charge/discharge cycles.• The permissible temperature range for chargingis between 0°C to +35°C / +32°F to +95°F. Foroptimal charging we recommend charging thebatteries at a low ambient temperature of +10°Cto +20°C/+50°F to +68°F if possible.• It is normal for the battery to become warmduring charging. Using the chargers recommendedby Leica Geosystems, it is not possibleto charge the battery if the temperature is toohigh.
