Chapter 13.AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION SERVICES13.1 NOTAM ADDRESSING AND DISTRIBUTION13.1.1 In addition to the distribution to individual States, all NOTAM originated worldwide shall also be addressedto the European AIS Database (EAD) using the AFTN address EUECYIYN as destination address.Note.— Bilateral addressing agreem<strong>en</strong>ts betwe<strong>en</strong> States remain unchanged.13.1.2 The EAD shall <strong>en</strong>sure distribution of NOTAM to all relevant NOTAM Offices (NOF) within its area ofresponsibility (EAD Cli<strong>en</strong>ts).13.1.3 NOTAM originated by EAD Cli<strong>en</strong>ts shall be channelled through the EAD system and therefore indicate theEAD AFTN origination address.13.1.4 The EAD AFTN destination and origination addresses are as follows:Type of messageEAD destination addressEAD origination address(where applicable)NOTAM EUECYIYN EUECYIYNSNOWTAM EUECYIYS EUECYIYNASHTAM EUECYIYA EUECYIYNBIRDTAM EUECYIYB EUECYIYNATFM (ANM, AIM, CRAM)EUECYIYNFreetext EUECYIYX EUECYIYXRequest for:— repetition of NOTAM— original version of NOTAM— list of valid NOTAMEUECYRYXEUECYIYNReply message EUECYRYX EUECYIYNNote.— “Request for…” messages will be processed automatically by the EAD in case thestandard request format is applied.Note 1.— Detailed procedures and information applicable to the European AIS Database (EAD) iscontained in the EUROCONTROL “EAD Operational User Handbook”.Note 2.— BIRDTAM is not an official ICAO term.
