<strong>Regional</strong> Supplem<strong>en</strong>tary <strong>Procedures</strong> MID/ASIA 9-39.5.2.2 ATC shall take action immediately to provide a minimum vertical separation of 600 m (2 000 ft) or anappropriate horizontal separation from all other aircraft concerned that are operating in the MID RVSM airspace. Anaircraft r<strong>en</strong>dered non-RVSM-approved shall normally be cleared out of the RVSM airspace by ATC wh<strong>en</strong> it is possible todo so.9.5.2.3 Pilots shall inform ATC, as soon as practicable, of any restoration of the proper functioning of equipm<strong>en</strong>trequired to meet the RVSM MASPS.9.5.2.4 The first ACC to become aware of a change in an aircraft’s RVSM status shall coordinate with adjac<strong>en</strong>tACCs, as appropriate.9.5.3 Severe turbul<strong>en</strong>ce – not forecast9.5.3.1 Wh<strong>en</strong> an aircraft operating in RVSM airspace <strong>en</strong>counters severe turbul<strong>en</strong>ce due to weather or wake vortexthat the pilot believes will impact the aircraft’s capability to maintain its cleared flight level, the pilot shall inform ATC.ATC shall establish either an appropriate horizontal separation or an increased minimum vertical separation.9.5.3.2 ATC shall, to the ext<strong>en</strong>t possible, accommodate pilot requests for flight level and/or route changes andshall pass on traffic information as required.9.5.3.3 ATC shall solicit reports from other aircraft to determine whether RVSM should be susp<strong>en</strong>ded <strong>en</strong>tirely orwithin a specific flight level band and/or area.9.5.3.4 The ACC susp<strong>en</strong>ding RVSM shall coordinate such susp<strong>en</strong>sion(s) with, and any required adjustm<strong>en</strong>ts to,sector capabilities with adjac<strong>en</strong>t ACCs, as appropriate, to <strong>en</strong>sure an orderly progression to the transfer of traffic.9.5.4 Severe turbul<strong>en</strong>ce – forecast9.5.4.1 Wh<strong>en</strong> a meteorological forecast is predicting severe turbul<strong>en</strong>ce, ATC shall determine whether RVSMshould be susp<strong>en</strong>ded and, if so, for how long and for which specific flight level(s) and/or area.9.5.4.2 In cases where RVSM will be susp<strong>en</strong>ded, the ACC susp<strong>en</strong>ding RVSM shall coordinate with adjac<strong>en</strong>t ACCswith regard to the flight levels appropriate for the transfer of traffic, unless a conting<strong>en</strong>cy flight level allocation schemehas be<strong>en</strong> determined by letter of agreem<strong>en</strong>t. The ACC susp<strong>en</strong>ding RVSM shall also coordinate applicable sectorcapabilities with adjac<strong>en</strong>t ACCs as appropriate.9.6 EN-ROUTE DIVERSIONNil.9.7 INTER-REGION INTERFACE FOR NON-RVSM-APPROVED AIRCRAFTNil.30/11/07
