MID/ASIA 6-2<strong>Regional</strong> Supplem<strong>en</strong>tary <strong>Procedures</strong>c) surveillance is maintained using an automatic dep<strong>en</strong>d<strong>en</strong>t surveillance (ADS) system; andd) an ADS lateral deviation change ev<strong>en</strong>t contract is established, with a lateral deviation threshold of9.3 km (5 NM).6.2.1.5 Lower minima as detailed in 5.4.1.2 of the PANS-ATM may be applied, or further reduced in accordancewith 5.11 of the PANS-ATM, wh<strong>en</strong> the conditions specified in the relevant PANS-ATM provisions are met.6.2.2 Longitudinal(P-ATM – Chapter 5)6.2.2.1 Except as provided for in 6.2.2.2, the minimum longitudinal separation betwe<strong>en</strong> turbo-jet aircraft operatingwithin the Auckland Oceanic, Bangkok, Brisbane, Ch<strong>en</strong>nai, Colombo, Delhi, Dhaka, Fukuoka, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, HongKong, Honiara, Incheon, Jakarta, Karachi, Kolkata, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Lahore, Madras, Male, Manila,Melbourne, Mumbai, Muscat, Nauru, New Zealand, Phnom P<strong>en</strong>h, Port Moresby, Singapore, Taibei, Tehran, UjungPandang, Vi<strong>en</strong>tiane and Yangon FIRs shall be in accordance with the PANS-ATM, 5.4.2.4 or 5.4.2.5.6.2.2.2 The minimum longitudinal separation shall be 93 km (50 NM) derived by RNAV betwe<strong>en</strong> aircraft meetingthe provisions in 4.1.1.1.Note.— The provision of the PANS-ATM, 5.4.2.6.1 to 5.4.2.6.3, apply in all cases. Where ADS is notavailable, the provisions of the PANS-ATM, 5.4.6.3, apply. Where ADS is available, the provisions of the PANS-ATM,5.4.6.4, apply.6.2.2.3 The minimum longitudinal separation shall be 55.5 km (30 NM) betwe<strong>en</strong> aircraft meeting the provisions in4.1.2.1.Note.— ADS is required for the application of this minimum; therefore, the applicable provisions will bethose of the PANS-ATM, 5.4.2.6.1 to 5.4.2.6.3, and 5.4.2.6.4.6.2.3 Composite6.2.3.1 Composite separation <strong>cons</strong>isting of a combination of at least 93 km (50 NM) lateral and 300 m (1 000 ft)vertical separation may be applied betwe<strong>en</strong> aircraft meeting the provisions in 4.1.1.5.2.6.2.3.2 The type of separation in 6.2.3.1 may be applied betwe<strong>en</strong> aircraft operating in the same direction oropposite directions (see also 6.8).6.2.4 Vertical6.2.4.1 An RVSM of 300 m (1 000 ft) shall be applied betwe<strong>en</strong> FL 290 and FL 410 inclusive for flights within theFIRs specified in 4.2.1.6.2.4.2 The minimum separation in 6.2.4.1 shall only be applied betwe<strong>en</strong> aircraft where those aircraft and theoperator have be<strong>en</strong> approved by the State of Registry or the State of the Operator, as appropriate, to conduct flights inRVSM airspace.6.2.4.3 Aircraft that have not received RVSM State approval may be cleared to operate in airspace where RVSMmay be applied in accordance with policy and procedures established by the State provided that 600 m (2 000 ft) verticalseparation is applied.30/11/07
