The <strong>Maryland</strong> certification enables the graduate toteach in the state <strong>of</strong> <strong>Maryland</strong> and provides enhanced opportunitiesfor interstate reciprocity.Teacher certification requirements are constantly evolving inmany states. Students are responsible for remaining informedabout the teacher certification requirements <strong>of</strong> the state inwhich they seek to become certified. They should also confirmrequirements and any reciprocity arrangements with the state’scertifying agency.
