NONDEGREE TEACHEREDUCATION PROGRAMTEACHER EDUCATION READING STRAND:READING COURSES IN ELEMENTARYAND SECONDARY EDUCATIONProgram DescriptionThe reading courses in elementary education (four courses) andsecondary education (two courses) are designed for teachers seekingto meet Maryland certification and recertification requirements.They provide a thorough foundation in the theories,processes, and acquisition of reading needed for the teachingof reading to elementary and secondary students.
