OP-III-A-10•The results showed that increasing residence time (t=V/ V , where V is thecatalyst bed volume andis the volumetric flow rate of the liquid, respectively) from45 s to 90 s doubled R-1-phenylethanol conversion (Fig 2). The conversion wasdecreased after 430 min when the reactant concentration was doubled. After 800 minthe conversion was doubled as expected, due to the decreased volumetric flow rateto the half (Fig 2). No deactivation of the immobilized lipase was observed. Theselectivity of R-1-phenylethyl acetate was 100 %.•VR-1-phenylethyl acetate concentration (M0,0070,0060,0050,0040,0030,0020,0010,000t-= 45 s12- t = 90 s3-t = 45 s40 20 0 400 600 800 10 00Time-on-stream (min)Figure 2. In the final presentation transient kinetics, the effect of temperature and different solvents by applying step changes will bedemonstrated. The comparison between the continuous flow reactor and the batchreactor modes for the kinetic resolution of racemic 1-phenylethanol will be discussed.References[1] Bruggink, A; Schoevaart, R; Kieboom, T.
