E-mail: ryzhkina@iopc.kcn.ru2 Kazan State Technological University, Engineering Institute of ChemicalTechnology, KazanTo improve the process of biochemical treatment of highly toxic wastewater areapplied bioregulators activity of microorganisms. Now we are carried out search ofnew synthetic bioregulators capable at low (including 10 –12 mol/L) and ultralow (10 –15mol/L and below) concentrations to increase the rate of wastewater treatment. Thisapproach can considerably reduce the consumption of a bioregulator and excludepractically its influence on the purified water. However, the application of biologicallyactive substances at low and ultralow concentrations in wastewater treatmenttechnology is connected with a number of difficulties. One of the more importantaspects of the problem is the absence of the knowledge that can explain and predictthe occurrence of nonlinear concentration dependences of the physicochemicalproperties and bioeffects of solutions, change “a sign” of bioeffects at the transitionfrom one concentration range to another. For example, the addition of synthesized byus bioregulator of activity of microorganisms salt of N,N-diphenylguanidin anddihydroxymethylphosphinic acid (1) decrease the rate of purification process ofwastewater at a concentration 10 –5 mol/L, and increases it at a concentration10 –11 mol/L. The practical use of such phenomena is constrained by the lack of anexplanation of their physicochemical essence. Recently, we showed experimentallyfor the first time, that in aqueous solutions of certain biologically active substances, inlow and ultralow concentration range nanoassociates with size of about 200 nm areformed. The concentration dependences of the physicochemical properties andnanoassociates sizes, and electrokinetic potential (zeta-potential) are related tononlinear concentration-bioeffect dependences [1, 2]. In this work we discuss therelation between this phenomenon and problem of the rate of the purification ofwastewater.548
