PP-I-53oxidation reaction demonstrated a good correlation with proposed reactionmechanism. Calculated adsorption constants values are close to those reported inliterature. The using of adsorbent in flow reactorleads to the decrease of maximum outlet substrateconcentration in the case if the inlet substrateconcentration is too high to be oxidized completelyfor one run.Kinetics simulation in the case of photocatalyticreaction with intermediate demonstrates thatadsorbent could accumulate additionalintermediate quantity thus keeping catalyst surfacemore active and contributing to faster substrate (A) removal [2].In the second part of work several composite TiO 2 /adsorbent samples withvarious TiO 2 content were investigated. Purpose was to find the most activephotocatalyst and to increase adsorption capacity of composite photocatalyst. TiO 2deposition was carried out by thermal hydrolysis of TiOSO 4 in the presence ofadsorbents: activated carbon (AC), SiO 2 and Al 2 O 3 . Synthesized photocatalysts weretested in the photocatalytic oxidation of acetone and cyclohexane vapors in static andflow reactors.Kinetic curves of acetone and cyclohexane removal and CO 2 accumulation in astatic reactor demonstrated complete pollutants mineralization. Synthesizedphotocatalysts demonstrated high adsorption capacity. Langmuir-Hinshelwood kineticmodel was used to describe the dependence of photocatalytic oxidation rate on thesubstrate concentration. Obtained results show that adsorption constants for TiO 2 /ACcan be about 1.5 – 2 times higher than for pure TiO 2 in cyclohexane PCO.References[1]. O. Carp, C.L. Huisman, A. Reller, Prog.
