Because soaps and detergents generally have a high moisture content,<br />

volumetric titration is used. The moisture vaporization method is used<br />

for metallic soaps, some <strong>of</strong> which cause interference.<br />

Direct coulometric titration can be used for samples that will dissolve in<br />

electrolyte.<br />
