Data Service<br />

Data service name list Data services are services that are provided by<br />

a selected broker's servers. The default service<br />

name is the broker name. The default value is<br />

blank.<br />

Supports default service A check box that indicates whether the MS<br />

SQL Server broker supports the default<br />

service. Select the check box to have the<br />

broker support the default service, or click to<br />

clear the check box <strong>and</strong> cancel support for the<br />

default service. The Supports default service<br />

check box is cleared by default.<br />

Logging Setting<br />

Broker log filename The general broker log filename. The default<br />

is @{WorkPath}\mssbroker1.broker.log.<br />

Broker logging level The amount of information written to the<br />

broker log. The possible values are as follows:<br />

• None — No log file is written.<br />

• Error Only — Only error-related<br />

information is written to the log file,<br />

which reduces the size of the log file.<br />

• Basic — Only some information is<br />

written to the log file.<br />

• Verbose — All broker activity is written<br />

to the log file. This might produce large<br />

files that use up disk space.<br />

• Extended — Information in addition to<br />

Verbose.<br />

Append to broker log file Create a new broker log file each time a broker<br />

is started, even if the broker log file specified<br />

already exists. The Append to broker log file<br />

check box is selected by default.<br />

Broker logging entry types A single entry or comma delimited list of<br />

logging entry types.<br />

Broker log file threshold size Specifies a limit on how big the log file can get<br />

(in bytes). When the log is full, the broker<br />

creates a new log file with a sequence number.<br />

Maximum number of broker<br />

log files<br />

Limit on how many broker log files will be<br />

kept on the system when there is a threshold<br />

limit. It represents the number of log files<br />

including the current on <strong>and</strong> includes any<br />

rolled over log files that already exist when<br />

the process started.
