Viewing the status of a SonicMQ Adapter broker<br />

You can view the status of an active SonicMQ Adapter broker in the management console.<br />

To view the status of a SonicMQ Adapter broker:<br />

1. Click Resources in the management console menu bar. The main resource types appear in<br />

the list frame.<br />

2. In the list frame, browse to <strong>and</strong> click the desired SonicMQ Adapter instance. The Details<br />

page for the instance appears in the detail frame.<br />

3. Click Status. A Status summary appears <strong>and</strong> provides the following information:<br />

• Host — The name of the host machine.<br />

• Broker Name — The name of the broker whose status you are viewing.<br />

• Operating Mode — For SonicMQ Adapter brokers, the operating mode is stateless.<br />

• Broker Status — The current state of the broker.<br />

• Broker Port — The TCP/IP port number that the broker listens to.<br />

• Broker PID — The process ID number of the broker.<br />

• Active Servers — The number of active SonicMQ Adapter brokers.<br />

• Busy Servers — The number of SonicMQ Adapter brokers that are currently<br />

processing requests.<br />

• Locked Servers — The number of SonicMQ Adapter brokers that have been locked.<br />

• Available Servers — The number of available SonicMQ Adapter brokers.<br />

• Active Clients (now, peak) — The number of client connections at the current point,<br />

<strong>and</strong> the highest number of connections since the broker started.<br />

• Client Queue Depth (cur, max) — The number of clients waiting for agents to<br />

become available to service their request. The current value (cur) represents the<br />

number of waiting clients at the moment the status is displayed, <strong>and</strong> the maximum<br />

value (max) represents the largest number of clients waiting concurrently since the<br />

broker was started.<br />

• Total Requests — The total number of requests from clients since the broker started.<br />

• Rq Wait (max, avg) — The maximum <strong>and</strong> average time the client had to wait for an<br />

available broker.<br />

• Rq Duration (max, avg) — The maximum <strong>and</strong> average time the request required.<br />
