Managing Web Services Adapter instances<br />
The properties in this category, as shown in Table 6–5, control options for authorizing <strong>and</strong><br />
authenticating access to WSA functions <strong>and</strong> Web services.<br />

A drop-down list that indicates the criteria used to<br />
authenticate users for access to WSA administrative<br />
functions. The choices include:<br />
• No user authentication — Any user can perform<br />
WSA administration functions.<br />
• Use Admin Server user authentication — The<br />
AdminServer forwards the same user credentials<br />
supplied at connection time to the Web server (or<br />
JSE) where the WSA is running in order to<br />
perform administration functions.<br />
• Prompt user for Web Server username <strong>and</strong><br />
password — Only users authorized to manage the<br />
Web server (or JSE) where the WSA is running<br />
can perform WSA administration functions.<br />
A check box that indicates whether or not each user<br />
should be validated against selected Administration<br />
Role definitions when the user attempts to perform an<br />
administrative function on the WSA instance or on any<br />
of its deployed Web services.<br />
