5. Click the SSL tab.<br />

From this page, you can:<br />

• View a read-only display of the AppServer SSL properties as described in<br />

Table 5–12 <strong>and</strong> Table 5–13. These tables follow this procedure.<br />

• Click Edit to modify the SSL properties. For details, see the “Editing an AppServer<br />

configuration” section on page 5–24.<br />

Enable SSL client connections If checked, specifies that all connections to this<br />

AppServer must use SSL tunneling.<br />

The alias name within the <strong>OpenEdge</strong> keystore of<br />

the private key <strong>and</strong> digital certificate entry to use<br />

to authenticate all connections to this AppServer.<br />

If not otherwise selected, the AppServer uses the<br />

default_server server certificate alias.<br />

The password to use for accessing the private key<br />

<strong>and</strong> digital certificate.<br />

Note: <strong>OpenEdge</strong> <strong>Explorer</strong> encrypts your<br />

password in the ubroker.properties file. If you<br />

set the password in ubroker.properties<br />

manually, you must specify the password as an<br />

encrypted value. You can obtain this value using<br />

the genpassword utility located in the bin directory<br />

of your <strong>OpenEdge</strong> installation.<br />

If you use the default_server server certificate, it<br />

also has a default password that you do not need to<br />

specify.<br />

Confirm the password. This field appears only if<br />

you are editing the properties.<br />

Disable SSL session caching If this property is checked, caching for the SSL<br />

client session is disabled.<br />

SSL session cache timeout The length of time, in seconds, that an SSL client<br />

session is held in the session cache, during which<br />

an SSL client can resume its session.<br />

The default is 180.
