Deleting an ODBC DataServer broker<br />

You can delete an inactive ODBC DataServer broker from the management console.<br />

If a broker is running, you cannot delete it. (The Delete button is not available.) You must first<br />

stop the broker <strong>and</strong> then delete it.<br />

To delete an ODBC DataServer broker:<br />

1. Click Resources in the management console menu bar. The main resource types appear in<br />

the list frame.<br />

2. In the list frame, browse to <strong>and</strong> click the ODBC DataServer broker you want to delete. The<br />

Details page for the broker appears in the detail frame.<br />

3. Click Delete, <strong>and</strong> then click OK to confirm the deletion.<br />

Starting an ODBC DataServer broker<br />

You can start an ODBC DataServer broker from the management console, or you can choose to<br />

start the broker automatically when the AdminServer starts.<br />

You can also stop the broker, as described in the “Stopping an ODBC DataServer broker”<br />

section on page 3–11.<br />

To start an ODBC DataServer broker:<br />

1. Click Resources in the management console menu bar. The main resource types appear in<br />

the list frame.<br />

2. In the list frame, browse to <strong>and</strong> click the ODBC DataServer broker you want to start. The<br />

Details page for the broker appears in the detail frame.<br />

3. Click Control. The broker’s Control page appears.<br />

4. Click Start ODBC DataServer.<br />

Starting an ODBC DataServer broker automatically<br />

You can set an ODBC DataServer broker to start automatically when the AdminServer starts.<br />

To start an ODBC DataServer broker automatically:<br />

1. Click Resources in the management console menu bar. The main resource types appear in<br />

the list frame.<br />

2. In the list frame, browse to <strong>and</strong> click the ODBC DataServer broker you want to start<br />

automatically. The Details page for the broker appears in the detail frame.<br />

3. Click <strong>Configuration</strong>. The ODBC DataServer <strong>Configuration</strong> page appears.<br />

4. Click Edit.
