AppServer Internet Adapter configuration <strong>and</strong> administration<br />

Creating an AppServer Internet Adapter<br />

You can create an AppServer Internet Adapter instance.<br />

To create an AppServer Internet Adapter instance:<br />

1. Click Resources in the management console menu bar. The main resource types appear in<br />

the list frame.<br />

2. In the Details frame, click New Resource Monitor. The New Resource Monitor page<br />

appears.<br />

3. Click AppServer Internet Adapter. The AppServer Internet Adapter <strong>Configuration</strong><br />

page appears.<br />

4. Type the name of the new instance in the field provided.<br />

Note: The AppServer Internet Adapter name is case sensitive <strong>and</strong> can include any<br />

character except a period (.) or square brackets ([ ]). The name must be unique<br />

among all configured AppServer Internet Adapter names.<br />

5. Click Save. The AppServer Internet Adapter <strong>Configuration</strong> page appears, showing the<br />

configuration details <strong>and</strong> allowing you to configure the instance’s properties.<br />

Viewing the AppServer Internet Adapter log file<br />

You can view the log file for an AppServer Internet Adapter log file by using the log file viewer.<br />

The log file viewer allows you to examine the log file through an HTML interface.<br />

To access the log file viewer:<br />

1. Click Resources in the management console menu bar. The main resource types appear in<br />

the list frame.<br />

2. In the list frame, browse to <strong>and</strong> click the desired instance. The Details page for that<br />

instance appears in the detail frame.<br />

3. Click Log File Viewer.<br />

You can work with the Log File Viewer in the following ways:<br />

• Use the Show field to control how many AIA log file entries display at one time. The<br />

number entered into the Show field cannot be less than 10.<br />

• Use the Overlap field to control how many entries are repeated from screen to<br />

screen.<br />

Note: The value in the Overlap field cannot be more than the number in the Show<br />

field minus one. For example, if you show 30 entries, you can overlap only<br />

29 or fewer of them.<br />
