(1) That pers<strong>on</strong> shall not be punishable for giving false evidencewho would accuse himself or his relative with <strong>the</strong> perpetrati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> a crime in case <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> revealing reality,who may deny giving evidence for any o<strong>the</strong>r reas<strong>on</strong>, but was not adm<strong>on</strong>ished as regards this fact before beingheard, or whose hearing is precluded by <strong>the</strong> law.(2) The punishment may be mitigated without limitati<strong>on</strong>, in a case deserving special appreciati<strong>on</strong> even dispensedwith, against a pers<strong>on</strong> who announces <strong>the</strong> falsity <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> means <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> evidence provided by him to <strong>the</strong> acting authoritybefore <strong>the</strong> n<strong>on</strong>-appealable terminati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> basic affair.The pers<strong>on</strong> who strives to persuade ano<strong>the</strong>r pers<strong>on</strong> to give false evidence in criminal or civil proceedings, commits amisdemeanour, and shall be punishable with impris<strong>on</strong>ment <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> up to two years,(1) Any pers<strong>on</strong> who attempts to persuade ano<strong>the</strong>r pers<strong>on</strong> to give false testim<strong>on</strong>y in a criminal case is guilty <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> afel<strong>on</strong>y punishable by impris<strong>on</strong>ment not to exceed three years, or if committed in a civil proceeding <strong>the</strong> perpetrator isguilty <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> misdemeanor punishable by impris<strong>on</strong>ment not to exceed two years.(2) Any pers<strong>on</strong> committing subornati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> perjury in a disciplinary, infracti<strong>on</strong> or arbitrati<strong>on</strong> case or any o<strong>the</strong>r judicialproceeding shall be punished by impris<strong>on</strong>ment not to exceed <strong>on</strong>e year, work in community service or a fine.(1) Any pers<strong>on</strong> who attempts by force or threat <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> force to prevent ano<strong>the</strong>r pers<strong>on</strong> in <strong>the</strong> free exercise <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> his lawfulrights in a court or o<strong>the</strong>r judicial proceeding, or induces him to neglect his duties is guilty <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> obstructi<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> justice.(2) When obstructi<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> justice is committed in c<strong>on</strong>necti<strong>on</strong> with a criminal case, it is punishable by impris<strong>on</strong>ment notexceeding five years; if <strong>the</strong> criminal case involves a crime that carries a life sentence, <strong>the</strong> punishment shall beimpris<strong>on</strong>ment between two to eight years.(3) When obstructi<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> justice is committed in c<strong>on</strong>necti<strong>on</strong> with a civil case or with a disciplinary, infracti<strong>on</strong> orarbitrati<strong>on</strong> case or any o<strong>the</strong>r judicial proceeding, <strong>the</strong> punishment shall be impris<strong>on</strong>ment not exceeding three years, and if<strong>the</strong> subject matter <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> case involves substantial value or some o<strong>the</strong>r great interest, <strong>the</strong> punishment shall beimpris<strong>on</strong>ment not exceeding five years.(1) The pers<strong>on</strong> who fails to disclose a fact <strong>on</strong> which <strong>the</strong> acquittal <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> a pers<strong>on</strong> subject to criminal proceedings maydepend, to <strong>the</strong> pers<strong>on</strong>, to his counsel or <strong>the</strong> authorities, commits a fel<strong>on</strong>y and shall be punishable with impris<strong>on</strong>ment <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>up to five years.(2) The pers<strong>on</strong> shall not be punishable <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> basis <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> subsecti<strong>on</strong> (1)who would accuse himself or his relative with <strong>the</strong> perpetrati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> a crime by disclosing <strong>the</strong> factwhose hearing as a witness is precluded by <strong>the</strong> law.
