The person who - without a licence - prepares, keeps, or distributes poison, or who omits to take the measuresprescribed for impeding the misuse-like utilization <strong>of</strong> poisons or for excluding the jeopardizing <strong>of</strong> other persons,commits a misdemeanour, and shall be punishable with imprisonment <strong>of</strong> up to one year, labour in the public interest, orfine.(1) Thosebreeding, importing or exporting dangerous dogs to or from the territory <strong>of</strong> Hungary,alienating or acquiring dangerous dogs by violating a rule <strong>of</strong> law,violating liabilities contained in rules <strong>of</strong> law, relating to the castration <strong>of</strong> dangerous dogs,violating security specifications contained in rules <strong>of</strong> law relating to the keeping <strong>of</strong> dangerous dogs, commit an<strong>of</strong>fence and shall be punishable with a term <strong>of</strong> imprisonment <strong>of</strong> up to two years.(2) Those keeping or training dangerous dogs to perform guarding and <strong>of</strong>fensive tasks, and/or allowing dangerousdogs to perform such tasks, commit a crime and shall be punishable with a term <strong>of</strong> imprisonment <strong>of</strong> up to three years.(3) For the purposes <strong>of</strong> subsections (1) and (2) dangerous dogs are dogs declared dangerous by law, by governmentdecreeon the basis <strong>of</strong> a mandate received from law as well as by authority decree".(1) Any person involved in the organization <strong>of</strong> fights using vertebrate animals, or in betting on such animal fight, isguilty <strong>of</strong> a felony punishable by up to three years’ imprisonment.(2) Any person involved in breeding, training, keeping or trafficking <strong>of</strong> vertebrate animals for the purpose <strong>of</strong> fights isguilty <strong>of</strong> misdemeanor punishable by up to two years’ imprisonment.(1) Any personwho is engaged in the unjustified abuse or mistreatment <strong>of</strong> vertebrate animals resulting in permanent damage tothe animal’s health or in the animal’s destruction,who abandons, dispossess or expels a domesticated mammal or a dangerous animal raised in a humanenvironment,is guilty <strong>of</strong> misdemeanor punishable by up to two years’ imprisonment, community service or a fine.(2) Any person who is engaged in hunting or fishing using implements and methods forbidden by the <strong>Act</strong> on Huntingand in the <strong>Act</strong> on Fishing, respectively, shall be punishable in accordance with Subsection (1).
