The project demonstrated its effectiveness by intervening into disadvantaged areas whereinthe impact could be felt and result achieved (i.e; areas with high numbers of at-risk ormarginalized young people, high crime, poverty or illiteracy rates of Lagos State who have beentrained on vocational skills).5.4.2 Evaluation Objectives:The overall objectives of the evaluation are to provide accurate and detailed feedback on theimpact of the project, with a view to know if the project outcomes were achieved or not.The primary purposes were:To verify if the project intervention contributes toChanges in income level (earnings), employment status and entrepreneurial activities ofyouth within the timeframe of the project,Changes in participants‘ knowledge and attitudes, optimism and sense of self.5.4.3 Hypothesis:Entrepreneurship education and business development services will help youth start andincrease employment opportunities for the youthIncrease in business advisory services and awareness will promote new businessesestablished, new jobs created, more income generated which helps to promote self esteem,optimism and sense of selfEntrepreneurial attitudes of all youth enrolled in the project will strengthen as a result ofcompleting the program.76
