P9.66Tue 611:23-14:00Study of fullurene (C60) aggregation in aromatic solventsTelyaev Sukhrob, 1 Akhmedov Tursunboy, 1 and Mirzaev Sirojiddin 11 Heat Physics Department, Uzbek Academy of Sciences, Katartal 28, 100135, Tashkent,UzbekistanToluene/C60 mixtures have been investigated using different techniques and showed contradictorybehavior. Ginzburg et al. at [1], using pycnometer method, showed that the presence of C60causes a sort of molecular structuring, or a nano-phase separation, in toluene leading to theformation of a tightly bound toluene shell around the nanospheres (about 1nm thick) and throughthe solvophobic (phase) away from the fullerene molecules. We used the method of vibrating tubedensitometer and ultrasonic spectroscopy techniques for investigation of fullerene C60 solutionsin toluene and benzene. On density curves, at small concentration of fullerene the density remainssteady and increase with concentration at the further addition C60. Such behavior of densityremains whole temperature range. It is necessary to note that the measured values of density doesnot agree with results of work [1], where for measurement of density was used the pycnometermethod. It is possible to explain by that complexes formed in solutions collapses at ultrasonicvibrations that are peculiar to the vibrating tube densitometer.The work has been supported by Grant FA-F082 Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.[1] B.
