Neither listing has adirect statutory consequence for the <strong>conservation</strong> of the buildingalthough the Commission would have an interest under Section 30 ofthe Australian Heritage Commission Act, 1975, should Commonwealthfunding be involved in work on the building or should the decision ofa Commonwealth minister or agency be likely to have a ‘significanteffect’ on the building or its relationship with its setting.The <strong>Sydney</strong> <strong>Opera</strong> <strong>House</strong> is also a heritage item (No.62*) listed onSchedule 1 (Buildings and sites) of the Central <strong>Sydney</strong> Heritage LocalEnvironment Plan, 2000.
