Normally, when connected to the Internet, the unitcan check with a time server (NTPD) for the correct time, and, assuming the time zonehas been set correctly, the system should be set to the correct time. When the NTPDserver is enabled AND the NTPD client is UNREACHABLE or UNDEFINED, the realtimeclock will be used in its place to serve time to the system, and the system thenserves time to the phones.‣ To configure NTPD settings:• See: System -> Network -> Network TabG122 Only:All G-Series Gateways (except the G-122) have a real-time clock.The real-time clock will also maintain correct system time in the event of a systemreset/reboot.If necessary, the system time can be set to correspond to the time in the configurationnotebook, using the procedure below:‣ To set system time equal to the notebook computer’s time:• Click Apply to set the time and time zone equal to the time anddate settings of the notebook computer.27VoIPon www.voipon.co.uk sales@voipon.co.uk Tel: +44 (0)1245 808195 Fax: +44 (0)1245 808299
