Seven patients (3.5%) had mildswelling <strong>of</strong> the hand. Heavy and obese body habitus were theonly significant predictors <strong>of</strong> edema on multivariate analysis.One hundred fifty-three (76.5%) patients had numbness orparesthesias <strong>of</strong> the medial arm and/or axilla after surgery; in125 (82%) <strong>of</strong> these, the problem had lessened or had resolvedon follow-up assessment.
